Valentino Rossi tak terbendung. Pembalap Fiat-Yamaha kian dekat ke tangga juara MotoGP musim 2009, menyusul hasil gemilang pada balapan di MotoGP Jerman di Sirkuit Sachsenring, Minggu malam (19/7) WIB. The Doctor meraih juara. Di posisi dua dan tiga adalah Jorge Lorenzo dan Dani Pedrosa.
Berkat kemenangan ini, Rossi kian kukuh di puncak klasemen dengan poin 176. Sedangkan rekan setimnya Jorge Lorenzo di posisi kedua (162). Sementara Casey Stoner tempat ketiga (148).

berpihak ke Dani Pedrosa. Itu menyusul juara yang diraihnya di sirkuit Laguna Seca, Senin dinihari (6/7) WIB. Sementara Valentino Rossi harus puas di posisi kedua. Urutan ketiga ditempati rekan The Doctor di Fiat-Yamaha Jorge Lorenzo.
Sukses Pedrosa meraih juara tak lepas dari start ciamik yang dilakukannya sejak balapan dimulai. Berada di urutan start keempat, ia langsung tancap gas melewati tiga pembalap sekaligus yang berada di depannya. Yakni Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo dan Valentino Rossi.
Posisi terdepan dipertahankan Pedrosa hingga akhir lomba. Baginya, juara di Laguna Seca merupakan kemenangan pertamanya musim ini. Hasil terbaik sebelumnya adalah runner up di MotoGP Jerez, Spanyol.
